Savanna Ellis, continued....
Having so many dreams and wants for the future, she unfortunately had to focus on the present- but it never stopped her from dreaming. She worked so hard in school to maintain honor roll status, she would also be a part of the National Honors Society, as well as a few other honor clubs (English and Psychology). Academics wasn’t the only thing she excelled in though. An amazing volleyball player, she could serve anyone a blistering ‘Ace’. She was also a flyer in the Stanton College Prep cheerleading squad. Every flip and turn she did was always a sight to see. Outside of school she loved to scrapbook, draw, go to the beach, and visit her boyfriend, Christian. Being diagnosed with cancer is so difficult on anyone, but she proved to be tough and a fighter. After many surgeries and radiation treatments, she would still have enough strength to do interviews the next day. Even with all she went through, she was always vocal and happy to meet other people. Battling cancer for three years will never be easy. But she was up for the fight each time- still smiling to the end and with her curls, it was hard to say goodbye. She was able to graduate with multiple honors on the same day that she left us. She was so beautiful that even a rainbow formed that evening as a sign in the sky after she had passed. Savanna was so young and bright. She had dreams of becoming a radiologist after studying at Nova Southeastern University. She loved her mom, dad, friends, and extended family. She especially loved her pets. We are so grateful that she was in our lives. She will always be remembered as one of the toughest and bravest fighters we will ever know.
